"It's Kind of a Funny Story"

I'm currently reading the book "It's Kind of a Funny Story" by Ned Vizzini... I'm already on Part 8 of the book since it is divided into 10 Parts. I can say that it's really a good book even though I’m not yet done reading it. :D There is already a movie adaptation made on 2010, and I came across it on New Year’s Eve-- the time when I was having some kind of a frenzy watching movie trailers on YouTube, hahaha! I really want to see the movie, not only because of its interesting story, but also because Keir Gilchrist is in it! <3 He plays Craig, the main character... Unfortunately, Video City doesn't have it, and I doubt if our "Suking Pirated D-B-D vendor" has it. I can't even download or watch it online because of the anti-piracy policies which is a hot issue right now. :(
And then a few nights ago, I saw a preview of it on HBO! :O At first, I didn't believe what I was seeing, and then I realized that it is TRUE!
"It's Kind of a Funny Story" will premiere TONIGHT, 8:15 PM on HBO Asia! OH YEAH!!! I'm SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO HAPPY and EXCITED to watch it!!! (^,..,^)

Watchmen - Rorschach's Death Scene
Rorschach: Out of my way. People have to be told.
Jon Osterman: You know I can't let you do that.
Rorschach: Suddenly you discover humanity. Convenient. (Takes off his mask)
Rorschach: If you'd cared from the start, none of this would've happened.
Jon Osterman: I can change almost anything... but I can't change human nature.
Rorschach: Of course, you must protect Veidt's new Utopia. What's one more body amongst foundations? Well, what are you waiting for? Do it...
(Jon hesitates)
Rorschach: DO IT!
(Jon makes Rorschach explode into a pile of blood)
Dan Dreiberg: NOOOOOOOO!
There's an upcoming event for our class that is, sad to say, disagreeable and non-negotiable... And because of that, I feel like I'm Rorschach of the comic book/movie "Watchmen"...

Pusong Mamon (1998)
I just watched "Pusong Mamon" on Pinoy Box Office (PBO). "Pusong Mamon" is a 1998 romantic comedy film directed by Joel Lamangan. Starring Lorna Tolentino (as Annie), Eric Quizon (as Nick) and Albert Martinez (as Ron). It is about a woman named Annie who got herself pregnant by seducing Ron, her co-worker, not knowing that Ron is gay and has a boyfriend, Nick, who is (of course) not so happy about Annie suddenly entering into their lives.

April Fool's Day (1986)
I'm waiting for this movie to load (again) on stagevu.com. I know April Fool's Day is already over. I'm supposed to watch this movie last April 1st, but my older siblings did something to our PC which caused the window where the movie was loading to close. Of course I freaked out!
"April Fool's Day" is a 1986 classic slasher film. A few years ago, it was aired on Star Movies Asia, and I was so unlucky that I only saw the ending of the movie. This made me so curious about the movie. For years, I waited for the movie to be aired again... Again, I was unlucky to have the chance to watch it.
But now, thanks a lot to the internet, to the websites that stream videos, and to stagevu.com, I can finally watch the movie!
Although, I just can't help but to wonder... Is there an unseen force that is trying to stop me from watching this movie? Hmmm...

Julie & Julia
Mom and I just watched "Julie & Julia". And now, I plan to enhance my cooking skills this summer! But I will not enroll in a cooking class, since I already have mom as my mentor. She's actually the best cook in the whole wide universe and Julia Child is nothing compared to her, haha! Okay, that's biased!
I really hope this plan will push through. Well... that is if I'm not very busy with school stuff, clinical duty, and the review for midwifery board during summer.

The Sure Thing

A nice romantic comedy, about a college student who goes on a cross-country trip to have a "sure thing"--no questions asked, no strings attached, no guilt involved, a sure thing! But ends up on a journey to romance instead.
I'm currently downloading the movie from stagevu.com. I plan to make some screencaps once our thesis is over! Yeah, screencaps of John Cusack, lots and lots of them! John Cusack is so young and so boyishly handsome in this movie. I always have a crush on him! If ever I don't get the chance to meet him in person, I just wish I can meet someone like him, an oddball yet very good-looking.

La belle personne
I watched the French movie "La belle personne" last night on YouTube. It's a good movie but the story is tragic. I like the songs featured in the movie, especially the song "Comme La Pluie" which was sung by Grégoire Leprince-Ringuet, one of the actors in the movie.
Here's the synopsis from IMDB:
"La belle personne" is actually a modern adaptation of the classic French novel "La Princesse de Cleves". I want to read the novel but of course I can't read it now since I'm busy with our thesis.

English Trailer for "Love Me If You Dare (Jeux d'enfants)"
This is such a WONDERFUL MOVIE that's why I highly recommend you to watch it!
I somewhat coerced my friend, Shantinn, to watch it! Haha! And here is her reaction right after watching the movie: "I'm speechless.. In a good way.."
What's really amusing is that, while Shantinn was watching the movie, she kept on "texting" me her reactions on the interesting events in the movie. She was like a courtside reporter during a basketball game! Haha! Well, I just wonder what made her "speechless" after watching the movie... Hmmm?
If you find this movie interesting, I guess it won't be hard for you to download it from your favorite websites or downloading softwares.
You can also watch it on YouTube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HMJhzRqQ-2k"
My last words for this entry:
"WATCH THE MOVIE IF YOU DARE!" (^,..,^)

Love Me If You Dare (Jeux d'enfants)
“Love Me If You Dare” (Original Title: “Jeux d’enfants”) is a French movie directed by Yann Samuel (“My Sassy Girl” - US).
Synopsis:
As adults, best friends Julien (Guillaume Canet) and Sophie (Marion Cotillard, “La Vie en Rose”) continue the odd game they started as children -- a fearless competition to outdo one another with daring and outrageous stunts. While they often act out to relieve one another's pain, their game might be a way to avoid the fact that they are truly meant for one another.
