Kari's French Onion Soup

I made French Onion Soup yesterday. ;D Slicing onions was really a challenge! For the melted cheese, we didn't have gruyere or mozarella so I made use of edam (leftover from last Christmas/New Year). I really enjoyed the experience of cooking French Onion Soup, that I even took photos of the food presentation, the photo above is just one of them.

It would be biased if I tell you that it tasted good, but honestly, I felt tipsy after eating it! Haha! Probably, the amount of wine in it was too much, still it was yummy! ;D

Julie & Julia

Mom and I just watched "Julie & Julia". And now, I plan to enhance my cooking skills this summer! But I will not enroll in a cooking class, since I already have mom as my mentor. She's actually the best cook in the whole wide universe and Julia Child is nothing compared to her, haha! Okay, that's biased!

I really hope this plan will push through. Well... that is if I'm not very busy with school stuff, clinical duty, and the review for midwifery board during summer.

The Sure Thing

"The Sure Thing" (1985), starring John Cusack and Daphne Zuniga

A nice romantic comedy, about a college student who goes on a cross-country trip to have a "sure thing"--no questions asked, no strings attached, no guilt involved, a sure thing! But ends up on a journey to romance instead.

I'm currently downloading the movie from stagevu.com. I plan to make some screencaps once our thesis is over! Yeah, screencaps of John Cusack, lots and lots of them! John Cusack is so young and so boyishly handsome in this movie. I always have a crush on him! If ever I don't get the chance to meet him in person, I just wish I can meet someone like him, an oddball yet very good-looking.
