Robin Williams, a Brilliant Star that Will Shine Forever

To us kids born in the late 80s, if you ask us what movies we grew up watching, we'll definitely mention the movies: "Hook", "Mrs. Doubtfire", "Jumanji", movies in the 90s which starred Robin Williams.  And also during the 90s, Star World aired reruns of old TV series like "Mork & Mindy", a hit show in the 70s (I think), in which Robin Williams played the titular character Mork.  Basically, the 90s was full of Robin Williams movies, he was also the voice actor of Genie in "Aladdin", the Disney cartoon that my siblings and I love next to "Mulan".  Aside from being a great comedy actor, Robin was also a great dramatic actor, he can turn you into a Bipolar, he can make you laugh and then make you cry just like in the movie "Patch Adams", a movie that was based on the life of an American philantrophic doctor.  It was a nice and touching movie but we later found out that the movie didn't give justice to the real person and to the real events.  But let's forget about that...

But then the year 2000 came and it was like a movie drought for Robin Williams, maybe some of you will not agree with me but the movies he appeared in lately were no longer as spectacular as the movies he appeared in in the 90s.  If I remember correctly, the last movie of him that I saw was "RV" and it wasn't a nice movie.  Maybe I should watch "Night at the Museum" to see that even in his last movie he still showed his greatness as the actor we all loved when we were kids.

Rest in Peace, Mr. Robin Williams!  Thank you for being a great actor, thank you for being a part of our childhood.

Solar News Channel documentary: "Wild Side of Cats"

I was always a dog person, but then one day a cat bit me... and so I turned into a Catwoman! MEOWWWWWWWW!

It has only been a year since I started caring for a pet cat, and yet I still have to understand the life of a cat. Dogs and cats are indeed different. Our feline friends may be cute and affectionate, but they still have their predatory instinct--a fact that is quite scary.

Here's an interesting documentary that was featured on Solar News Channel, "Wild Side of Cats".

Sen. Trillanes: ...to suspend K to 12 Program

Good move for a disloyal lap dog...

Before its implementation, I strongly believe that our education system here in the PH is not yet ready for the K to 12 program. The eternal problem in our public schools such as shortage in classrooms, teachers, chairs and tables, books still needs to be solved. Secondary level teachers still need to undergo proper training in order to teach vocational skills since it was not included in their BSIE or BSE degree.

It's like building a house, before adding another floor, you must make sure that the ground floor is solid and stable, or else it will collapse!

"The 3rd Hospital"

I tried (but failed) to stay away from the TV set because I easily get hooked on great shows such as this one...
"The 3rd Hospital" is a Korean medical drama about the conflicts between Western medicine and Eastern medicine.  Oh Ji-ho, my favorite Korean actor, plays one of the main characters.  This show is currently being aired on channel M (formerly tvN Asia). B-)
